One nice benefit of playing at Ace.com consistently is that you can rise through their nine-tier loyalty program, which ranges from the Bronze tier to the Crown Royal tier. Typically when I’m assessing a loyalty program, I like to figure out how much virtual currency I need to spend and how much time to spend playing in order to collect points and move through the loyalty tiers.
Unfortunately, this sweepstakes casino treats that information as if it’s highly classified. Unlike other similar sites, the program isn’t very transparent. There is a progress bar that gives you a visual representation of how far away you are from getting a “key,” but your guess is as good as mine about what it takes to get to that level.
Here’s what we do know about the loyalty program: this program is different in that you can acquire five keys inside every tier. One thing that struck me immediately about this website is the colors. Many similar sites have a black background, which can make it a little hard to read the text. This site has a softer navy-blue background which isn’t as harsh and it’s easier on the eyes. Usability and gaming
Once you log into the website for the first time, you’ll find that it’s fairly user-friendly. The menu on the left side includes your virtual currency balance, current promotions, recommended games, account information, self-exclusion mechanisms and more. I found it incredibly easy to find specific games, either by browsing the categories or running a search. Once you start playing games, you’ll also find your favorites and “recently played” games listed on the left side.

One feature that caught my eye during my Ace.com casino review is that this site has a “high volatility” category of games, plus it lists the volatility ranking next to each game. It’s nice to be able to easily choose a game based on your own risk-reward level.

Mobile usability
Finally, it’s worth knowing that there isn’t a dedicated app currently available. That’s not unusual for sweepstakes casinos, and I didn’t really find it to be much of an issue since the site is optimized for mobile players. It takes a few moments for a game to load regardless of what sort of device you’re using, but once it’s loaded you can usually play games without interruption.
At one point I spun the reels, lost my virtual currency, and then the screen froze. I’m not sure if that was a glitch on my end or on the sweeps casino’s end, but it only happened that one time. And even though the screen froze, my virtual currency balances were correct when I was able to get back into the site.

Now before we leave this review, we need to discuss whether Ace.com is safe to play, and based on my research I say the answer is yes.
For starters, you’ll notice that the website is secure, with SSL encryption in place to keep your data safe. I expect that like most of its competitors, Ace.com Casino likely has multiple layers of protection behind the scenes as well. I never hesitated to provide any of my personal information on the site, as I could see the secure icon was in place in my browser, plus my device’s anti-virus software didn’t fire off any warnings.
Player controls
I appreciated that this brand has an entire section on its site called “Player Trust and Safety Controls.” There you’ll find information about gambling addiction, as well as self-exclusion mechanisms. While many of these casinos have these types of controls in place, Ace.com’s controls are more extensive than many of its competitors. The controls include:

Now a few parting thoughts…
The bottom line for this sweeps casino is that it’s squarely in the middle of the road compared to similar brands. The welcome bonus is on the low side, especially with regards to how many Gold Coins you receive. The ongoing promos make up for it a bit, but I generally found that I ran out of GC pretty fast. On the other hand, this site does a great job with player controls, and it has a decent loyalty program too.
